Five Mocktails So Delicious You Will Forget There’s No Alcohol
Health and wellbeing is especially top of mind for Summer 2020. We all know that limiting alcohol can have a great impact on your health - just look at the popularity of Dry January, society’s newest addition to the “New Year, New Me” craze. Going booze-free doesn’t just have to be for the new year though, and even reducing the number of drinks you have per week by one or two can have a great impact on your immune system.
That’s why for today’s post, we’re rounding up the tastiest, trendiest mocktail recipes of Summer 2020. You won’t feel left out of the fun in the slightest with these alcohol-free elixirs - break out the fancy glasses, and let’s get mixing!
1. Sparkling Cucumber Lemonade

Adapted from this Food + Wine recipe. Serves 1. Pair with our Classic Cassette to stay chill as a cucumber.
Ingredients:
- 1 T agave or simple syrup
- 1 T lemon juice
- 1 T lime juice
- ¼ c cucumber juice*
- club soda, chilled
Directions: Add ice to a highball glass. In a cocktail shaker, combine syrup, lemon and lime juices, and 1 T water, stir until syrup is dissolved. Add ice and cucumber juice*, shake well, and strain into prepared glass. Top with club soda, then garnish with cucumber slices.
* If you can’t find cucumber juice, simply blend peeled chunks of cucumber in a blender and strain. One whole cucumber yields about ¾ c of juice.
2. Iced Passionfruit Green Tea

Adapted from one of our favorite Martha Stuart recipes - find the original here. Serves 6. Pair with a Set of Hearts for a party, or our single Red Heart for solo sipping.
Ingredients:
- 3 green tea teabags
- 24 oz. passion-fruit juice
- Red currants, for garnish (sub raspberries if you’re not as extra as Martha)
Directions: In a large, heatproof bowl, pour 24 oz. of not-quite-boiling water over the teabags. Steep for 5 minutes, then remove the teabags and allow to completely cool. Transfer to a pitcher and stir in the passion-fruit juice, then chill for about 2 hours. Serve over ice and garnish with currants or raspberries.
3. Grapefruit Lavender Spritzer

Ingredients:
- 4 lavender sprigs
- 1 grapefruit, juiced
- Sparkling water, chilled
Directions: Fill your favorite two glasses with ice. In a cocktail mixer, muddle 2 oz of grapefruit juice with 2 lavender sprigs. Add remaining juice, then fill with ice and shake well. Strain into glasses, then top with sparkling water and garnish each with a lavender sprig.
4. Tuscan Fresco

Ingredients:
- 2 rosemary sprigs
- 1 oz peach nectar
- 1 oz white cranberry juice
- ½ oz lemon juice
- ½ oz simple syrup
- 1 oz club soda, chilled
Directions: Fill a rocks glass with ice. Then combine the peach nectar, cranberry juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add a rosemary sprig and muddle until the syrup is dissolved. Add ice, shake well, and strain into your glass, topping with a splash of club soda. Garnish with the remaining rosemary sprig.
5. Blueberry Basil Smash

Ingredients:
- 2 T blueberries
- 4-6 leaves fresh basil
- 1 t lime juice, plus slices for garnish
- 1-2 t sugar
- Club soda, chilled
